when community members go out of their way to create their own panel and do their own work, it's because they are unhappy with the way the "official" panel operates. when it feels as if their spokesperson refuses to take or even acknowledge criticism publicly, it's easy to feel

i think it would be more appropriate to deem the MAPR done by the older panelists as "officially recognized by NEPR panelists," and not just "official." when you throw the label official around, it sort of invalidates rankings not made by the old panel, like SaxRank and this one

I’m not too vocal that I’m a PR panelist but this is NOT the official MA PR rankings for the summer season The work done by Overdrive, Edog, and Everyone Else shouldn’t go unnoticed but these rankings should not be considered official in the eyes of MA or NE folks
