The difference with the examples you're using is that they're okay because they're punching up at a group that holds power over them. Trans men do not hold power over trans women. Men hold power over women because of the patriarchy. The patriarchy does not see trans men as men.
rose@rosekan

@Vrisslac a woc can hate on the men of her same race to vent, a muslim woman can hate on muslim men to vent, but when it’s a trans woman hating on the men of the same marginalized group she’s in suddenly it’s a problem… curious!

@ks_spamz People act like if men are inherently evil and things tied to them become taboo in certain ways qhen in reality, this thought process of men being inherently evil is very dangerous

I get that we (the trans community) all have dysphoria but the way some of y'all talk about testosterone is really weird! I don't think calling it the evil rape hormone will liberate us any faster

@mikuluver_666 @eyeveethedog literally most trans women i have interacted with in my life have been really toxic or abusive people if not literal naz*s however i would never base my entire opinion of their community of those few bad apples. i know great trans women too, i focus on them

@eyeveethedog I literally can’t understand any of this,,,i grew up in a small midwest town where the ONLY experiences I had with trans women was femcel white nazis and Ive never even thought of them or how they treated me when it comes to the trans women I love and have relationships w/ today

it seems like everyone's example for how trans men wield some kind of systemic power of trans women. is just some personal anecdote about how an individual trans guy was sucky to you. that's like not how anything works?
margot@knottedhairs

in hs, my bestie was a trans guy. by the time we got in college he was stealth and I barely started HRT. I met his new friends, and he misgendered and deadnamed me. once we were alone we he told me this was bc it would have been clocky of him to be okay with my gender

@PragmaticPussy if you want to claim this is a war, would you not want people on yhe inside? peope in the enemy ranks helping you? would you really rather completely isolate yourself from men who have been just as oppressed as you by the same people ur fighting when you could join forces?

@PragmaticPussy you didnt answer the question though. I've been oppressed by women for those reasons more than any man has tried to. ive been assaulted by women more, told how to dress, act, speak, etc. male doctors listened more both pre transition and now.

sure you view trans men as men, but do you view us as complex individuals with a wide range of experiences, social roles, and identities, and are you capable of respecting us even when you don't understand us? or does reading this anger you? 🤗

@PragmaticPussy @C0BR4H @HerTommyGun okay yes i agree with that. doesnt mean you need to go around bashing on every single person that exists in ur "evil" category. if we dont stand united for a goal, were just furthering the fight and their wants for segregating us from society.

@kaelin_aether @C0BR4H @HerTommyGun A successful revolution of oppressed people can never be nonviolent. We have to tear down the patriarchy to be free and anyone who wishes to up hold it must go also

i don't wanna hear any more of the "trans men are violent transmisogynists" when I've been consistently misgendered by people who say that, some of whom doubled down on it when told that I'm not a man. some of you use your womanhood as a shield to abuse other marginalized people.

@minishsoup insisting that trans men being afab somehow gives us privilege (when reproductive healthcare is so widely inaccessible even for the cis women it WAS designed for) is such an insanely bad look i have to believe it’s a psyop to divide the community for my own sanity

Trans men don't have any advantages whatsoever, neither do we trans women. We suffer the same fucking fate together in real life and your attempts at dividing us because you're so intentionally obtuse about intersectionality is doing more harm than good. Dumbass.
🇬🇫Xenojin/Marylin🏳️‍⚧️|DIEGO BRANDO'S WIFE@XenoMarylin

I think y'all are too chronically online and have adopted this idea that we somehow live in a perfect society where we're accepted by everyone. Snap back to reality. Trans rights are still in danger and they still don't accept trans men as men or trans women as women.

@hues_burgers @reyphorian literally, like i still have a uterus, i still grew up as a girl, i still got assaulted *for being a girl/trans man* those experiences will shape who i am, the medical care i need etc. i am inherently different from a c1s man but it doesnt make me less of a man

@reyphorian people also forget that no matter what trans men have experienced some of their life as a woman—treated as one at least. i didn’t realize i was trans until i was 13-14, before that i thought of myself and was treated like a girl. it’s a TRANSITION you were still alive before it

@reyphorian @samusmule okay then you acknowledge that trans women ALSO hold power over trans men since trans men are continuously silenced in the trans community and trans women are considered the focal point of transition. you cannot claim a clear binary here.

@samusmule there are no privileges because in order to have male privilege you need to be seen as a man by society. we live in a transphobic society and therefore that privilege is inherently denied to trans men. it sees trans men as mentally ill women that need fixed by "real" men

@reyphorian The argument that trans men have more power over trans women in queer spaces relies on the idea that trans people are as misogynistic and uphold traditional gender roles like cïs people, which is nowhere near a universal experience in queer spaces

@PragmaticPussy @C0BR4H @HerTommyGun why would you not want to sympathize and work with everyone to create the healthiest future? fighting hatred by being hateful back doesnt solve anything, it just continues an argument you dont have to excuse their behaviour, but hold them to a higher standard, dont expect less
