One of a thousand reasons why I believe The Sopranos is the greatest TV series in history, is the truthful way they portrayed the US medical system. If someone went to the hospital, Tony Soprano would hand someone $3,000 to pay their bill at emergency. If he was in emergency he’d say “I can afford to pay”. They showed how Tony Sopranos Dr told him and his Carmella that his insurance had peaked and he had to leave. They always talked about the huge financial cost of healthcare. 99% of American TV series or movies never mention the cost of drs or hospitals. The Sopranos exposed it with great detail.

@Amelia558rs Firstly, the dress is gorgeous and you should wear it. Now to address the real issue. Why do "loved ones" feel it's ok to be anything but supportive when their friend is getting married? I see so many posts about friends and family having shitty opinions and it's insane to me.

Now I'm two months from the wedding, and my entire bridal party is "gently suggesting" I find something more "classic." My mother-in-law offered to buy me a "proper" dress from David's Bridal. But when I put this on, I see my grandmother's garden, her stories about village celebrations, the culture she left behind when she immigrated. Yes, it's not a traditional white gown. Yes, people might whisper. But isn't a wedding dress supposed to make you feel like the truest version of yourself? I'm torn between keeping peace and keeping this dress that makes my heart sing every time I look at those embroidered birds

A guy invited me to a concert and bought the tickets. Halfway through the show he leaned over and said, “You owe me big time for these seats.” I asked, “What do you mean?” He said, “Well… you know.” So I pulled out my phone, transferred him the full ticket price and said, “Cool. Now I don’t owe you anything.” Then I moved closer to the stage and enjoyed the rest of the show. Did I overreact or was that fair?
