@KaitoKaizoku You know that scene in Season 2 where Jinora visits the Spirit Library, and Wan Shi Tong gives his outdated description of what a "radio" is? That's what people who complain about how bending advanced sound like. Things have evolved, but they feel future knowledge is above them.

One thing I’ve learned is that there’s a certain brand of nerd that HATES change. They pride themselves on becoming lore experts, so when things change or evolve they really don’t like it because they feel like their investment isn’t paying off anymore

You know, I don't mean to try and sound rude, but a lot these criticisms I see about Korra scream to me the specific problem these people have is that the world just...evolved. Seeing how metalbending took off after Toph discovered it is just so cool to observe with Korra.
