It’s okay to be foolish 🃏 💜

In 2009, I was president of our Japan Club© in college. During a meeting one week, we hosted a manga swap. One of our members was a part-time student -an older gentleman from Taiwan. He worked in IT and was taking some foreign language classes for enrichment. He brought with him the Dark Horse edition of Ghost in the Shell. With very noticeable excitement, he described how much he appreciated it. Both the manga and the movie gave him a particular motivation to work more with computers and computer technologies. We trade my Dark Horse Dominion books for his Ghost in the Shell for the week. He had never gotten to read Shirow's other manga, and I hadn't read through GitS since I was teenager. I'd like to think GitS gave me some motivation to work with technology as well, but I can't give it all the credit. The two of us fell out of touch, but I still think of him every time I read the manga or see the anime.

My lactose intolerant guts just started singing, but in a good way.
