OJ Janeesh, the 'baby' of the UDF cabinet at age 37, fought against life's challenges and obstacles while being raised largely by a single mother who depended on MNREGA wages.
Janeesh was studying polytechnic course when he got the phone call that his father had collapsed and died at the local bar where he worked.
Janeesh did odd jobs as a security guard and internet cafe worker to fund his studies including law degree. He took his education and politics parallely and spent 21 days in jail after being arrested for protesting against the LDF govt.
By rewarding him with a cabinet berth, Cong sends a +ve message to it's student and youth cadres.
