@JeremyVineOn5 @theJeremyVine I think the arguments for using a phone while driving or even sitting at a light are dead in the water with dash design now

English

Is it OK to report drivers who use their phones while sitting at traffic lights?
It's something @theJeremyVine has done, but a taxi driver and a former Labour MP have taken umbrage with it.
The driver claims he was given six points and fined £500.
What do you think?

@GeorgeCochrane1 The suspension tester amazed that the DS could even drive over eggshells without them breaking.

@GeorgeCochrane1 @FFSJasonKing It’s a little known fact that Citroën engineers used carefully prepared omelettes to repair the problematic suspension systems on their cars. French ingenuity knew no boundaries

This is the camera I regret selling the most, my Fuji X100s. It was my first Fuji, first compact camera and possibly the camera I enjoyed shooting with the most.
What's your biggest camera selling regret?

@GeorgeCochrane1 Sho, Mish Moneypenny, happy with the new car? I know it not an Aston but the dealership was doing a part exchange deal. M has been talking about budget cuts.

@GeorgeCochrane1 Sold with the 1.3 engine and only L standard fittings. Apparently not a very popular seller against cars like the Capri in the UK.

@GeorgeCochrane1 Do you think he’s looking at me or our car, darling? Wouldn’t want to cause another heart break.

@thatginamiller Is there really any difference between the grooming gangs in London and this?

@ProfBrianCox They called this brain drain back in the 1980s. Has anything changed really? Science has always been underfunded in the UK and highly qualified post grads etc have always headed to the US because that’s where the jobs are.
English

The tragedy of this is that it’s totally unnecessary - I think it’s a result of hasty (to put it politely) decision making at a level below ministers, and therefore will be fixable. But if it’s not fixed quickly the impact will be severe and there will be unpredictable consequences for physics as a whole in the U.K. And that is daft (again, polite language).

@JamesMelville They do it the same way here in Hampshire. I’ve watched them. Our rural lanes already in a pretty sad state are compounded by heavy HGV traffic going to and from a large wealthy guy’s estate costing over £80 million. Hampshire roads are woefully underfunded.

@Matt_Pinner The wood that my mantle is made from. It came from my father’s house built in 1460. Most likely reclaimed ships timber (oak) possibly over a 100 years old when it was cut down.
