@StanfordRadOnc Congrats Rich! Can’t think of a bigger role model- responsible for me choosing academics and lymphoma specifically, 7.5 years into being an attending and still always think WWRD for any challenging case 😜 Enjoy a very happy, healthy, and meaningful retired life! 🥂

My first clinical trial! While was just short of our hypothesis that early salvage ISRT after CAR-T can double CR rate from d30 to d90 PET, interesting subset and translative analyses forthcoming for when this could be great salvage option post-CAR-T (e.g. single site of PR)…

@PhilBlumenfeld Can completely relate- when we started had same issues, breath hold helped a lot, and then hyper sight was a game changer; with both we have no reason to use out MR-linac for gastric MALT as image quality is great and oART process is much faster (stomach changes in tens of mins)

@kakumar86 Excellent! We had issues with CBCT quality (ethos, no hyper sight) for upper abdomen (Gastric MALT). I hope with hyper sight (eventually) we can offer again this treatment for our patients.

Would argue that lymphomas are one of the most important diseases to consider adaptive RT as they are exquisitely radiosensitive, often in difficult to target locations, and many have long term survival so even small decreases in dose to OARs are likely meaningful. Excited… 1/2
ASTRO@ASTRO_org

Adaptive RT in lymphomas ➡️ better targeting w/ reduced margins, deceased dose to OARs, adaptation to shrinking tumors, shorter course treatments, & easier treatments of multi-targets/SIBs. Read @kakumar86 @UTSW_RadOnc et al's article in the #RedJournal: tinyurl.com/kumarrj
