Following the riots, the government should be standing up — unequivocally — to the far right. Shamefully, they are taking lessons from them instead. Our common humanity offers a different lesson: refugees who have fled violence should be treated with compassion & respect.

Never forget that they put a heavily pregnant Muslim woman on trial for saying nothing wrong, whilst the Conservative party’s biggest donor Frank Hester said that Diane Abbott should be shot and he faced no repercussions. Shame on this country, they should be put on trial.
