Guts forgiving is antithetical to HIM entirely, but he WAS READY to give up in chapter 364. He considered settle down with a mostly restored Casca in Elfhelm until Griffith stole it all. again.

Guts is literally told by the sorcerers in Elfhelm that Griffith is destabilizing reality itself, and that he *needs* to die. He stole Casca and brainwashed her, letting Guts believe she's dead. There's zero chance Miura ever wanted Guts to forgive Griffith.

@ZloNoNameSov issue here is that red before was guaranteed survival. which is why people picked it, they would always live and not place their lives in others hands. THIS makes it the opposite where pressing blue isnt quite guaranteed but its a damn high chance of surviving

I think the Red/Blue button thing is underbaked. It should be more like this: -If 70% or more press blue-everyone lives. -If 80% or more press red- blue dies, red lives. -If neither qualify- red dies, blue lives. With this adjustment- what button do you press?

@Queueueue_ @bLdsire @plasmarob And that inherently goes against the idea of it being individualistic. Potentially sacrificing yourself is brave, but its so improbable that its impossible that it would actually matter. You could die and have the people you love deal with the consequence of that.

@Layserguy @bLdsire @plasmarob So id still go for it because in that grand scheme, red gives me the best chance of my survival. Any family or friends I have could probably fare just a little better too in that worst case scenario since I could be there for them, and they could be there for me.

@Layserguy @bLdsire @plasmarob Naturally I care about my own life, and ultimately in that scenario, my vote for blue wouldn't move the needle. If everyone thought that way going in, it changes a lot but my individual assessment of that changes nothing about the end result *besides my own life*

Almost everyone lives for at least *one* other and wouldn't risk losing that
