Got signed off for 2 weeks to recover, got called for an interview and had the call yesterday to say they want me to start in September! Blessing in disguise💙🤲🏼

@Jo__Leighton @MISSNTEACHING It is becoming standard. One year contract for ECT. Worse, if you want to renew you have to throw your hat into the ring with external candidates. Imagine having a pretty good, or great, first year only to be told, ‘Well, we had some very strong candidates…’ Brutal.

Children miss good teachers after they leave a school, years later they remember so much about them and what they did. Kids remember more than adults when it comes to the teachers they genuinely connected with! It’s just a shame for the kids that so many are now leaving.
