Homa Prajwalan being done by the Suvaasini of the Yajamaan Purushā before starting Bagulamukhi Homa 🪷 The Yagnya Vedi or Yagnya Kund is Devi Parvati Herself. According to our Shāstrās, the protocol in any Homam or Yagnya is, that the Suvaasini of the Yajamaan ( wife of the Yajamaan Purushā) starts the Agni of the Homam. This is because Devi Parvati Herself is the Yagnya Kund, hence it is Her reverence that is done by a Suvaasini first. Only after this Vidhi, the Purohits begin the Homam. This ritual signifies that the Universe is a reflection of the oneness of Shiv Shakti, that is Purusha & Prakriti. Mahadev Himself is the Ādi Purushā & Devi Parvati is His Shakti, the Prakriti. The oneness in this duality is the Ardhanarishwarā Roopam. Without Prakriti, Purushā cannot exist.
