Very sad realization that ISK body is commandeered by Valuers and Real estate brokers who make the bulk of the body. The people who matter most (Building, engineering, land and Geospatial Information managers) are at the sidelines. At first it was a terrible mistake even to combine all these professionals under the same roof. Even our training is very different. One knows property economics, the other one is a technician who understands Geodesy, Satellite positioning and Navigation. Swali bado ni moja....

Pale ISK kuna 36 engineer surveyors and only 300 land surveyors. Safe to say I have only met one registered land surveyor and I have practised 10 + years. The rest nawaonanga tu kwa stamp. Why is it so hard to register as a surveyor my surveyor buddies?

Kenya has ONLY 180 licensed land surveyors! But, here’s what most people don’t know; 62 of the 180 are listed as NOT ACTIVE! That means: Only 118 surveyors are actively practicing nationwide. Thread
