In villages of Haryana, when a girl isn't married, she lives quite freely since all the boys there are considered her brothers. Intermarriage within the village can even get you killed, so women enjoy quite a bit of freedom ,no ghunghat until they get married.

She performed well in trials, returning back after 2 yrs, she reached semis and lost by very close margin. In last olympics, if not disqualified she was in gold bout and defeated 82W streak world champ.

Time @Phogat_Vinesh retires gracefully. In Paris Olympics she was disqualified for being overweight.
She was still ‘rewarded’ back home as if she actually won Gold. She became MLA out of sympathy.

@9honeybadger9 Doesn't matter if she loses. They are with her because whole system is rooting against her, first debarring her from trials then limiting her to 50kg. She had to go to court against WFI for the participation in the selection trials..
