@arnavsahu341 Narrative violation: there’s more people working longer hour workweeks in NYC vs SF (fin/consulting/law hours vs tech).

One of the major reasons why I think SF works for startups is that city does not offer that much compared to other cities like London, New York etc. Less nightlife, restaurants, events - less distractions and more time to focus on work

@alipaints Fair. But the market for euro backpacker accom (ie a paid version of couchsurfing) is still 1/x00th of AirBnB’s market (hotels ++). Hindsight bias is strongest with the biggest outcomes (Uber, DoorDash, etc :) Hard to remember life without them!
