@Pomatomaster @MoffyTheMoth I think this is at least partially an arts funding issue - vtubing is an incredible art form but has distributional and funding challenges that make it harder to access the traditional channels by which funding exists (and the arts in general are poorly funded and very long tail)

@iyammarrok @MamiWolfieTTV @JyehnVT both of those are work, though, especially if you stream anything that gets different copyright or content standards treatment on each platform - it's possible to use things like different audio tracks in OBS but vtuber setups are already complicated enough as is

@iyammarrok @MamiWolfieTTV @JyehnVT there used to be a hack where you could create a highlight of a full VOD and save it indefinitely, but Twitch recently limited the number of hours of VOD you can highlight to crack down on this the main VOD storage strategy now is youtube simulstream or youtube upload

can i ask why vtubers don’t keep their vods up? i really don’t understand the reasoning behind it. someone who doesn’t keep their vods up, may i know why?

@GrimmiVT the dopaminification of society has been a blight I like environmental and ambient storytelling as much as the next person but times have been very rough on narrative

I don't wanna make anyone feel bad about it, but no one plays video games or watches stuff anymore- everything is consumed through clips and no one knows what the moral or message of anything is anymore and it's kind of frustrating
