All cash. Brutal environment for swing traders right now. Going to be shifting my focus to the 30 minute pivot strategy in the mean time. It has been working very well in this environment both long and short.

@Clement_Ang17 I really feel this bro. The trader I was last year September vs today is like comparing a school kid to a giga chad.

I have attached every single trade I took in January. 27 trades 18 wins 1 b/e trade 8 losses 66.67% win rate, with my largest win at +500% and largest loss at -16%. Average winner/loser: Winner: +145.5%. Loser: -11.56% Drawdown control and letting winners run were my main focus. Small losses allow the occasional homerun to compound gains and more than offset the misses. This is how consistency is built over time, and why I emphasize defining risk before entering every trade. $ASTS 100c 16 Jan @ .99 -> 5.85 +500% $NVDA 195c 30 Jan @ .11 → .63 +470% $LUMN 8.5c 16 Jan @ .11 -> .50 + +355% $ASTS 120c Feb 20 @ 3.80 -> 14.45 +280% $RKLB 84c 23 Jan @ 1.63 -> 4.00 +150% $APLD 37c 20 Feb @ 2.74 -> 6.15 +125% $USAR 18c mar 20 @ 3.1 -> 7.00 +125% $UMAC 17.5c 20 Feb @ 1.70 -> 3.55 +108% $PATH 18c 20 Feb @ .70 -> 1.40 +100% $RDDT 240c 9 Jan @ 6.30 -> 11.50 +83% $RKLB 90c 20 Feb @ 5.65 -> 9.20 +63% $IONQ 55c Feb 20 @ 3.30 -> 5.15 +58% $APLD 40c 30 Jan @ .84 -> 1.28 +50% $CIFR 20c Feb 20 @ 1.61 -> 2.25 +40% $CIFR 20c 20 Feb @ 1.29 -> 1.75 +35% $CIFR 20c 20 Feb @ 1.42 -> 1.85 +30% $RKT 23c 20 Feb @ .57 -> .72 +27% $JOBY 17c Feb 20 @ 0.95 -> 1.14 +20% $ONDS 15c Feb 20 @ 1.10 -> 1.10 b/e $NBIS 120c Feb 20 @ 5.30 -> 4.80 -9%. $HUT 65c 20 Feb @ 3.50 -> 3.15 -10% $RKT 22c 20 Feb @ .71 -> .64 -11% $ONDS 15c 20 Feb @ .65 -> .56 -12% $RIVN 21c 20 Feb @ 1.90 -> 1.62 -15% $RIVN 21c 20 Feb @ 1.42 -> 1.19 -15% $EOSE 18c 20 Feb @ .85 -> .71 -16% $APLD 40c 20 Feb @ 3.65 -> 3.05 -16% This month reminded me of the power of small losses and disciplined execution. I stuck to setups I trusted, managed my risk tightly, and let the market work for me. The big wins were the result of a consistent process, repeated exposure to my setups, and adapting to the market’s momentum instead of trying to force it. +196% YTD, but what matters more than the raw numbers is the lessons reinforced: small losses defined risk patient sizing ...and letting winners run. That’s the foundation I hope to continue to build on in February. Suffering from a high fever, but I wanted to update for the month, cheers!!

@AmeetRai Same with quantum at the moment. Perhaps with AI if things go downhill from here. But keeping an open mind and letting the market lead me.

One of the biggest traps in trading is falling in love with old leaders from past cycles. Just because they made you money before doesn’t mean they’ll lead again and I’ve seen this with some of the most experienced traders over the years too — names like Cisco eBay etc made them money in the 2000s and they keep going back to them thinking they’ll do it again. Each cycle brings its own themes its own leadership and if you’re stuck chasing yesterday’s winners you’re gonna miss what’s actually working now. If software made you money in 2020 that’s great but most of those names are in stage 4 downtrends now and are 30-40% off highs and it doesn’t mean you need to keep going back to them out of habit or nostalgia or wanting to feel good — price action doesn’t care about your memories. Each cycle = new leaders new themes new opportunities and the only thing that consistently pays is price trending up above the 10 and 21 day and if it’s below that it’s below for a reason.

@CFlanders7 What's a usual drawdown you experience Christian? Also I find myself good at ramping up exposure but bad at dialling down exposure. What rule usually tells you to cut size/exposure? Is it X number of bad trades? Or do you use other criteria?

IMO the biggest take away with the conversation with Ariel is his approach to risk. He follows the same anti-martingale principles that I do. When you are in a tough market, size down, reduce trades. He was getting blasted in January nothing but stop outs, missing a leader, take the others, those stop out, try others, more stop outs. Said he was over trading, toughest environment in awhile due to select leaders working and the market sucking you in. Total damage to account? 2%. If you want longevity in this game, the drawdowns have to be controlled. The mental and emotional toll that large swings against you is devastating. “There are old traders and bold traders, but there are very few old, bold traders.” - Ed Seykota

Today is the fourth day of the year and stocks are off to a nice start in 2026. If higher the first 5 days, the full year is up 14.2% on average and higher nearly 82% of the time. But if up more than 1%? It goes to 15.7% and 87%.

Tonight is New Year's Eve, and I’m reflecting on a year that should have broken me. It started with negative returns due to Deepseek gap down and a late-stage rare cancer (Thymic Carcinoma) diagnosis in early April. Between 6 cycles of harsh chemotherapy and transitioning to combination immunotherapy, I chose not to fold. I went back to my full time job and kept showing up for my family. I didn't just survive; I ran. Multiple 10ks during treatment and a full marathon just 6 weeks after my last chemo🏃‍♂️. Today I am running, biking, and lifting weights as the fight against this disease continues. It would have been easy to walk away. Instead, I stayed disciplined. The result? A 57% return. But the true profit wasn't the money—it was the proof that a "never give up" mentality can overcome any obstacle. To the new traders starting in 2026: The market will test you, and life will test you even more. Don't focus on the percentage; focus on your grit, your mental toughness, and the do or die attitude. Good things will follow. If you have the determination to stay the course, you will achieve anything. I wish all my followers good health in 2026, because trust me, nothing else matters. Happy new year all!

There is a chart that looks as good as this with weekly consolidation candles. I think its ready to breakout and give us at least 7-10% from here. What could it be? Level: Easy.
