Tight stop-losses often get triggered. The stock stops you out and then moves exactly as expected. It creates the frustration of being right, yet making no money. And then we start wondering if we should go back to conventional wider stop-losses.
At such times, the outcome of one or a few trades begins to overshadow our long-term vision. We forget the advantages and limitations of tight stop-losses, and equally, the trade-offs that come with wider stop-losses.
