After some exciting and productive years at @tudelft and @wisdelft, last Monday I successfully defended my PhD dissertation on tabular schema matching! Always grateful to the people that co-advised me, and especially @kAsterios!

🎉 I am happy to announce that our demonstration paper, “Human-in-the-Loop Feature Discovery for Tabular Data,” has been accepted at @cikm2024 🎉 This paper introduces the first user-driven human-in-the-loop feature discovery method called HILAutoFeat.

We managed to get the complete @tudelft “data” team in @icdeconf in Utrecht, NL. Here is how it looks like (for now) :)

Typical discussion between professors & SW practitioners: - I figured out what you need and built a tool with my grad students. It is a bit buggy & has no documentation, while the UI is draft-y, but it is based on pi-calculus and we published 2 papers on it. - Erm… I’m good.
