@LeeValleyPark I noticed that you sold off your entire "stock" of Belted Galloways so I'm concerned that the same will happen with these girls. Would you consider letting them live out the rest of their lives like this, in a sanctuary type situation?

@katejaye10 They’re from the Authority’s farm and are part of our conservation suckler herd which graze environmentally sensitive sites under our HLS agreements. They graze this site in the summer and are moved to graze other sites in the winter, they’ll return to the WaterWorks next summer

@LeeValleyPark can you tell me how long these beautiful, friendly girls will be grazing at the waterworks centre and nature reserve in Lea Bridge/Leyton please?

@LeeValleyPark What does that mean exactly? Will they be back in the summer? Or are they being sent to slaughter? Who's herd are they? Thank you

@katejaye10 Hi there. The cows will be there for a few more weeks yet, they'll then move to a different location for the winter. Many thanks Charlie

Animal Aid
Animal Aid@AnimalAid·
Christmas should be a time of joy and peace, however for animals used in festive events it can mean stress and misery. Please politely ask @StBDulwich to show compassion and drop the two camels and a donkey this Christmas eve in their service #Christmas #AnimalRights

@StBDulwich shocked at plans to use live camels and donkeys in your Xmas Eve service. Loud crowds will cause great distress to sensitive animals such as camels and donkeys as will transport to event. Please show compassion and rethink!

@wfcouncil @Labourstone thanks for replacing this beautiful chestnut tree with tarmac. It only took 2.5 years. Oh and thanks for the free bulbs. The kiddies are delighted you tarmacced over their planting too 🙄

Where is @wfcouncil in this? It ridicules the Marshes as not really natural and its Planning Cttee Chair calls Leyton Marsh (as maintained by @LeeValleyPark) ‘desperate, scrubby MOL’ and builds blocks to close it in. @GracieMaeW

@RBKgreens Agree. The CO2 gassing of pigs is one of the most heinous welfare issues though. Should never have been adopted for pigs (illegal for cattle) but was as it's so cheap. Other gases likely far better but industry is resistant, research way too late & slow. independent.co.uk/independentpre…
