@Pflax1 A well-known female pro triathlete (and Olympian) was recently asked to leave the ladies' room bc someone thought she was trans when they looked at her. Are we now going to ask ppl to 'prove they're a woman' to use the bathroom? This is where SWS is taking us.

If you interact with someone who insists this is all simple biology and about UCI rules, I'd urge you to raise broader points of context. Is this really about who can win an elite bike race? Or does it intersect with way broader fears and anger about trans people existing?

Questions for bike folks who think the trans athlete issue is "simple biology." How do you feel about the broad wave of transphobia sweeping our culture? Do you see the attacks on their safety, health care and right to exist? How do you feel about having these bigots as allies?

@chrissiesmiles Oh man, had it last year. Things that helped - PT and surprisingly, Crossfit (adaptive athlete certified trainers - helped keep it moving). Sleep was unfortunately the worst. Mine resolved in 6 months but have some lingering minor limitations.

I’m trying to keep perspective but there’s no doubt about it, having a frozen shoulder is a little bit shit

I’m watching my nephew for a few days and tonight he decided to wear his new biking gloves while brushing his teeth. At first I tried to fight it but when he resisted, I gave in. Because in the big scheme of things does it matter if he wears his gloves while brushing? Nope.
