I could never understand why the crowd thinks these simple, 4-year-old hueristics is deep and rigorous analysis for extremely complex issues. All of this has more to do with path dependancy and sequences of events in people's lives. Not some imaginary villain floating in the sky or a group of people getting their food for free. Neither side understands what the hell they're talking about. Just villain narratives for tribal signaling. They always compress a complex system into a single moral cause, correlate that narrative as causation, and then label disagreement as stupidity. This is not analysis, this is people borrowing from their tribe.
