theres so many fun mechanics bc of the variety of weapons so i do like playing around i dont aaalways wanna be using my mains + playing with x-battle level urgency… and yet i end up having to fight for my life in turf anyway… *gets shot execution style for wanting to have fun

i think one thing abt splatoon mechanics becoming more kill-centric is its difficult to even play around with learning new weapons when ur just gonna get massacred for not immediately being mlg… idk thats just been my experience in 3 and it seems itll only get worse

My very controversial Splatoon take is that it should cater to both comp and casuals. You can say “well play a different game then” but Splatoon has such an appealing style that there’s always going to be new casual players. That’s just how it is

This obsession with kills and aggressive play styles is honestly ruining Splatoon. Back in S1 the devs scrapped the feature of being rewarded points for kills because they didn't want to incentivise kills too much over painting. And now look at this shit

I don't care if I win or lose, I want a good, balanced match, and these account for about 10% of all Turf matches I play. The rest is either my team dominates and I do nothing (boring) or the enemy dominating and us not being able to come back (boring)
