Advice for law students who have time at hand - Do not be satisfied with summaries. Anyone can copy headnotes. A lawyer sees the loophole that the court missed. Read judgments to understand and argue against them when the time comes. Read statutes like they owe you an extra meaning. The best legal minds do not worship precedent. They question it. They challenge it. They understand that law is not a script to follow. It is a shift of ideas.
