Governor Dauda Lawal has achieved in just two years what Zamfara State has long waited for, the successful delivery of the Gusau International Airport. Construction began in June 2024, and throughout the entire project there was never a “halt,” “pause,” suspension, or reports of financial cuts. Work continued consistently day by day with commitment, focus, and determination until the project became a reality. Today, the airport stands as one of the best-equipped airports in the country, fitted with modern facilities and infrastructure that will transform Zamfara State economically and commercially. Beyond air transportation, the airport will open the state to prosperity, business opportunities, export and import activities, tourism, and both foreign and domestic investments. It will expose Zamfara’s enormous investment potential to the world and create direct and indirect benefits for citizens through job creation, commerce, and economic growth. Most importantly, the airport will strengthen internally generated revenue and reduce overdependence on FAAC allocations, giving the government greater financial capacity to manage and develop the state. This is more than an airport, it is a gateway to a new Zamfara.

GOOD NEWS: GOVERNOR DAUDA LAWAL MAKES HISTORY AS ZAMFARA RECORDS FIRST HAJJ FLIGHT FROM GUSAU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT👏🏾 Governor Dauda Lawal has achieved a historic milestone as Zamfara State witnessed its first-ever Hajj flight departing directly from Gusau International Airport. The inaugural Max Air flight conveyed 415 intending pilgrims, made up of 288 males and 127 females, to Saudi Arabia on Friday. Governor Lawal described the airport project as a major legacy achievement and fulfillment of his campaign promise, expressing joy that pilgrims can now travel directly from Gusau without going through Kano or Sokoto. He also disclosed that talks are ongoing with airlines to commence commercial flight operations at the airport. The governor thanked the people of Zamfara for their support, wished the pilgrims a successful Hajj, and urged them to pray for Zamfara State and Nigeria.
