@quantumjournal A bonus for the lovers of the two-point measurement (TPM) scheme.
If a state-independent scheme satisfies (= certifies) the Jarzynski equality, then it essentially coincides with the TPM scheme. "Essentially" = with some extra assumptions; see the paper for full classification.
English

@quantumjournal If the measurement scheme is allowed to depend on the state, then (A1) & (B) become compatible. However, (A1), (A2), & (B) remain incompatible.
Only the scheme based on measuring the Heisenberg operator of work satisfies (A1) & (A2). All other known schemes fail at (A1) & (A2).

Ever thought about how to certify the law of conservation of energy?
Turns out it's tricky in the quantum regime!
Read on for a brief explainer of the main points. Better yet, check out our paper for the full story.
I'm very happy it's finally published in @quantumjournal
