I can hear laughter from our two girls (2.5 & 6 months) erupting as they play together this morning. Children are a sweet gift from our Lord.

Yes, you lose parts of yourself in motherhood. You lose all the parts that the great vinedresser wants to snip off in sanctification. You lose selfishness, pride, sleep, temporal comforts, vanity, etc. The gain though? Immeasurable. He cuts them so the fruit can flourish.

It really is true, in every way, in every relationship and in every situation, your Lord knows what’s best for you.

@brandon_free_ The church is one of the primary means God uses to sanctify us. If we care about becoming more like Jesus and growing in holiness, and helping others do the same, we must love the local church and her mission to carry the gospel to our neighbors and the nations.
