“Memecoins are dead” is such a lazy take. Crypto has been in a bear phase since around October. Liquidity is exhausted, and even majors like BTC, ETH, and SOL aren’t seeing serious inflows from funds or institutions. If smart money isn’t aggressively buying the safest assets in crypto, why would retail rush into memecoins the highest-risk plays? Memecoin liquidity usually comes from excess profits made on majors. Majors lead the cycle, memecoins usually come later. Right now, attention is also trapped inside CT. There’s no real spillover to TikTok, YouTube, or mainstream retail, so it’s the same capital just getting recycled. This doesn’t mean memecoins are dead. It means timing and liquidity aren’t in their favor right now. Retail isn’t going to sit on charts for 10 hours a day they buy, hold, and move on with life. Memecoins are far from over. If anything, they’re still early.
