Heyo! Looks like my last post may have attracted some unwarranted spiteful comments. Not attention seeking like this claims, only seeking to educate others. GERD (chronic acid reflux) stands for Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, which is a very serious medical condition that can damage the esophagus, pharynx or respiratory tract. It causes difficulty eating and swallowing, intense heartburn, chest pain, acidic regurgitation, inflammation, nausea, among other symptoms. I am actually underweight and don't eat much because of my ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder), so it has absolutely nothing to do with that and you shouldn’t be weight shaming anyone to begin with. On the topic of conditions, I currently suffer from: Psychological: Depression, anxiety, C-PTSD, agoraphobia, panic disorder Neurological: Autism Physical: POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome), GERD, anemia, insomnia I’ve lived my entire life through medication and hospital visits, and usually don’t even bring up my conditions in fear of judgement like this. If anyone has any questions about any of the conditions I listed, please let me know and I’d be happy to answer them to spread awareness. Please do your own research and learn about these things before quickly jumping to attack me or others. A little kindness and understanding leads a long way, instead of taking unnecessary time spreading hate and misinformation. I will continue using my platform to spread knowledge about these topics. 💜
