Everyone: "Thousands of children disappear every year. It's cruel and the police do nothing!"
Also everyone: “It is completely normal for a man to take a child for a walk at 5:30 in the morning and become aggressive as soon as he is asked for his name or ID”.
Let's assume that the child has actually been abducted and is only allowed out into the fresh air once a day, in the morning, when nobody sees him. And let's assume that the police officers had actually stopped a child abduction here. The whole world would have celebrated the police because they "had the presence of mind and good instincts.
The man should have seen himself through the eyes of the police officers and given the officers the opportunity to ascertain the man's identity, if only out of consideration for the child's welfare.
