Have truly lost respect for Tim Walton and the Florida Gator softball team! To hit a player 5 times because they transferred for a better situation is crazy! Then at the end of the game not to shake hands is poor sportsmanship ! Lil girls are watching as coaches we must lead!

@kb_britt25 @GatorsSB …it’s a whole lot different going from being an elite pitcher in high school to D1 softball in the best conference. Just ask Red Oxley. She was also elite in high school, didn’t really pan out for yet since she’s been at UF. Time will tell, if she stays put.

Congratulations to Texas Tech. They got serious and they invested in their softball program. They beat us up in the NIL fundraising, they beat us down in the portal, and they beat us to a pulp on the field when it mattered most. Tim Walton and his potential donors have some real changes to make, or every single season for the rest of time is going to end this way— beaten to a pulp by a roster that outspends ours.

@GatorDrew352 Defensive mistakes were the 2nd biggest contributor to our loss. Right field takin wrong angles 2 days in a row, repeat offenses by short all weekend and today 2nd base with several mistakes.

@kb_britt25 I mean, I agree I get it and the calls were a lot worse for Florida, but not by a lot Texas Tech had a similar strike zone a little looser, which is why I’m complaining but just like the first game we couldn’t get out without allowing a run

The umpire in that softball game was probably one of the worst umpires in the history of the entire sport and could definitely be a reason the girls lost but when you can’t get an out or even an inning without a Base Runner, you don’t deserve to win, so let’s not blame the ref

@GatorDrew352 Their zone was much looser. Not to mention they’d been warned prior to the rain delay about their mouths… and instead of Valdez being ejected, she gets another warning when the rule reads clear about ejection per umpire discretion..His ‘discretion’ became clear VERY early.
