@kbx756@twohig_seamus What a pig ignorant reply, sick cancer patients don’t have the luxury of sitting in traffic for hours because they are in pain and struggling as it is, you can agree with the protest but still be empathetic to people who are genuinely struggling with these circumstances
@Kieran_Eire Fuel will be rationed for ambulances and other emergency services if it gets to that but hopefully the government will listen to there people and lower the price of fuel before it ever gets to that.
@kbx756 I think you mixed up your reply with someone else. I hear you and you have a good point. My question was how will ambulances get fuel if the pumps are dry.
@Digger_forum Photos and what you “saw” yesterday versus what the hse are actually saying are two separate things. So I think one of ye is lying here. And I don’t think it’s the hse…
@X2022009686776 ……“hold on now lads, little old Ireland isn’t happy with fuel prices, we’ll stop the war”. That’s just the reality. But our government can act on the impact it’s having on people here by lowering fuel taxes. They can help with immediate affect but they aren’t.
@X2022009686776 This protest is about getting fuel taxes reduced with immediate effect something our government can actually do to help. Unfortunately, countries like Iran, Israel, and America aren’t going to say…..
@twohig_seamus Leave with plenty of time and there’ll get there. I know plenty of people from down the country who had doctors appointments and got there on time. It’s down to time management for the moment.
@Kieran_Eire If the government actually listened to the demands to reduce fuel taxes, people would go home and this wouldn’t be happening. The blame lies with the government not the people who are being priced out of being able to work.
@binmanbenn@SuzanneLC3 As you can see here in this video I personally took from that same exact bridge on the other side. The vehicles driving here had no part in the protest and continued past it.
@binmanbenn@SuzanneLC3 This lorry along with many other cars and lorry’s were not apart of the protest as they were still working and drove on the hard shoulder to pass it. So my point still stands. Glad I could clear that up for you 😊
@bconin8 Yes it’s unfortunate but this is a last resort protest. I know plenty of businesses who are losing money by working as of current due to the price of fuel. People can’t just sit at home and do nothing or nothing will change unfortunately.
@helenmc46972890@SuzanneLC3 Where did I say people heading to hospital appointments aren't important in this video?
I'm glad to see emergency services still being able to get through. It's unfortunate if anyone missed there hospital appointments, but they were well warned about the protests to leave early.
@SuzanneLC3 So people heading to hospital appointment aren’t important to you wow !!!!! Hope some in your family is effected see what your opinion is then
@SuzanneLC3 That's one clip showing a hard shoulder being left free for emergency vehicles. Not reflective of what is going on in lots of other areas.
This is not a comment for or against the protest, but the idea that you can discount the first hand accounts because of this video is silly
@kbx756 Again.. ONE ambulance. Countless reports of other emergency vehicles delayed while countless emergency front line staff, nurses, gardai, doctors and vital hospital staff not getting to work. Sick people in cars not getting to appointments for treatment. Appalling
@bconin8 I get your frustration but who you should really be frustrated with is the government If they truly cared about both sides theyd lower fuel taxes. Its unfortunate this protest had to happen, these people didn’t want to protest but have been pushed to a last resort for a resolution
@BorealFella Everyone has the right to protest. If enough people feel the need to protest for something they believe needs to be dealt with, then they have every right to do so regardless of whether I support them or not.
@JohnHogan165333@NuachtEire Right, because putting already struggling Irish businesses under even more pressure and forcing reliance on costly imports sounds like a great solution…
@cuchulainn1 Thuggery means violent or criminal behaviour. There’s absolutely no violence or criminal activity here whatsoever, so that’s a completely wrong accusation.
