This, in my opinion, is why "Heat Culture" is a real thing.
It's not some slogan or body fat %, it's an unmatched cohesion.
UD says he got this from his vets, and that's what Miami has done better than any organization in the NBA. When they've had success, they've pinpointed and held onto the pillars of it. They've pointed to leadership (players, coaches, execs) and let the world know that coming to Miami is reaching THAT standard. It's not for everyone, it's not the only successful path forward, and it's not necessarily better than anyone else, but it's a very particular set of characteristics that, when they find a match, they glue to.
It's had its ups and downs. D-Wade being let walk out the door is the obvious gaffe, but they've righted those wrongs consistently, and have done nothing but empower those who embrace the current version of this unit.
Bam is the continuation of this. Miami knew it when Dwyane and UD confirmed him as such, and they're not backing down from that, in the same way their predecessors didn't back down from supporting them.
