My Dad served in the Navy as an enlisted teenager in the mid 1920's... He was a radioman on a Seaplane in Hawaii... He also played football for the Navy team... He talked about that '20's service all the time... He just saw too much death and destruction during WWII, he was traumatized by it, is my guess... OMG... Your dad saw a lot of action, too... I salute him on Memorial Day...
