Husker fans have not only over taken Oklahoma City’s hotels, bars and restaurants, they also just overtook St. Joseph’s Old Cathedral for 4 pm mass. The priest couldn’t believe how much red was there. The church sat 700 people and was 85 percent Husker fans.

@HuskerTapes was just having this discussion about late night Husker games. We came up with ‘83 Hawaii kicked at 11:30 LNK time, NU-KSU Tokyo at 10 in the states and the odd 9:40 at Fresno State. Thought you might know of any we missed.

Nebraska's Rienk Mast tallied a triple-double --- 18, 12, and 10 assists --- in the Huskers' win today over FIU. The return of Mast --- who missed last season due to injury --- greatly enhances the chances of Fred Hoiberg's squad playing its way onto the bubble in 2026.

@jdp1073 @CBYTrackFlack @FonnerRacing No turf courses in Nebraska. Fonner is a 5/8 mile track, Legacy Downs in Lincoln has a brand new track (7/8 mile) as does Harrah’s Columbus (first mile track in Nebraska since Aksarben). Racing is hopefully making a resurgence!

The new casino @FonnerRacing is well done. Machines, table games, craps, poker room, sports book and horse gambling. Track, casino and new hotel all connected. And they get a healthy crowd for live racing. Intriguing isn’t it?

@jdp1073 @CBYTrackFlack @FonnerRacing Fonner has been getting 9 and 10 horse fields this spring. Some horses move on to PRM and CBY when they open. Nebraska has a continuous circuit this year (Fonner, Legacy Downs Lincoln, Harrahs’s Columbus, Omaha) and has been getting bigger Nebaska bred only fields.

Of the top 10 tracks by total handle, 9 were down on an average handle/race basis with only @HSIndyRacing bucking that trend. @mtrgaming & @CanterburyPark both had good weeks.

@DailyRacingForm @DRFHegarty Harrah’s Columbus is running 15 days this year (over 5 weekends). It was not built on the site of the former fairgrounds but rather on a new site on the northwest side of Columbus.
