The potential benefits of hydroxychloroquine extend far beyond a reduction in SARS-CoV2 replication. By decreasing nucleic acid signaling through TLR7/9, it may prevent hyperactivation of B cells, APCs etc and resultant cytokine storming, a major cause of critical illness/death
