@AllAcesBaseball @CoachLisle No Federation..... it happened in a Hs game. I am curious though bc it has happened and I have spoken to umpires about it and they said it is an out. Like you said, def doesn’t make it a rule.... lol

@kcust25 @CoachLisle The batter is absolutely not out. The rubber is not different than the ground. And just because it happened to you in a game, doesn't make it a rule.

@AllAcesBaseball @CoachLisle If it hits the rubber, it is different. I know bc it has happened to me in a game. It’s the only reason I know. Line drive off the rubber, then up into the air where a player catches it, batter is out.

Correct Answer: FOUL. The rubber is different than the bases. Just like if a ball hits home plate and goes foul.
