Last year, Wellcome held a workshop on research priorities in the schistosomiasis space 🐌 Discussions showed that huge progress is being made towards global schistosomiasis goals, but also highlighted unprecedented challenges including climate change and treatment failure🌍💊

A potential vaccine candidate for tuberculosis, supported by Wellcome and @gatesfoundation, has started its Phase 3 clinical trial in South Africa. If shown to be well-tolerated and effective, the vaccine could become the first tuberculosis vaccine in over a century.
