This empire has gone through many ups and downs but this era is the proudest i’ve been to be a part of it.
Even after their “last for now” announcement, there was no awkwardness or bad blood with the fans. If anything i feel like the connection became deeper. Kaya nila tayong harapin knowing full well that they gave us grace and respect by letting us in on their plans. No one was left hanging and everything was explained with honesty and sincerity.
And in turn, we also did not hang them out to dry. In fact, the support was more palpable - you can see it from all the additional blockscreenings. You can also see how the fandom has grown and matured from this. From before seeing a lot of fans depending on sponsors to now ung mga dating nakikita ko na students palang without budgets ay nagtratrabaho na and may pambili na din ng sarili nilang tickets and even returning back the favour at nagsposponsor na din. This empire has come a long way.
“At least sinabi nila sa atin.” I think that’s a big part of why although it’s sad for us, we understand. And we are in full force in making sure that this “last for now” is the best era for DonBelle so that they can continue to choose themselves in the future.
