@hobbiekliv @tattoosbyjon Yes, it is indeed the Taira (Heike) family crest, but it is said that the Ikeda family, who built Himeji Castle into its current form, received the family crest from the father of Oda Nobunaga, who was descended from the Taira clan. The Ikeda family was a Sengoku daimyo family.
