Common misconception. Social Security isn’t going away. What goes insolvent is the trust fund, which is basically the surplus reserve built up over decades. The program itself keeps running because it’s funded by ongoing payroll taxes. The problem is without that cushion, benefits have to be cut to match what’s coming in, around 20-23% reduction. Congress could fix it tomorrow if they wanted to. They just don’t.
Rushi@rushicrypto

So if social security goes into insolvency by 2032 what tf happens to all the money that’s been taken out of my check for the past decade????

Unity is the answer. The truth is, most of us want the same things. To be loved. To take care of our families. To live with peace and dignity. To matter. Understand that the division of yourself and from others has been forced upon you. We have more in common than we have ever been told.

republicans and right-wing media outlets such as CBS News are spreading this lie that Social Security is about to become “insolvent.” That way, when republicans gut it they can say they had no choice. FUCK THEM. THIS IS OUR MONEY. WE’VE BEEN PAYING INTO IT OUR WHOLE LIVES.

I don't want a nice person as a politician. I want a cold blooded fucking monster. Someone who will not only beat Republicans electorally, but also fuck their wives and bully their parents. I want someone who gives right wingers generational trauma. That's my kind of candidate.

If you read one article today, it should be former CIA analyst Paul Pillar’s alarm bell of how the Senate wants to force the US to share sensitive intel with Israel at the expense of the US itself. “In intelligence, Israel is more of an adversary than an ally. Being an adversary in intelligence means indulging in the hostile act of espionage. Israel has a long record of conducting that type of hostile act against the United States.” responsiblestatecraft.org/us-intelligenc…

Health insurance is one of the biggest scams going. It costs a quarter of your salary but covers almost nothing. It spikes healthcare prices while seriously degrading quality. Everyone is worse off for it except health insurance executives. It exists to subsidize capitalism.

The fact that Elon Musk’s father is actively carrying water for the Kremlin in Moscow is a national security blind spot for the United States and its allies. Errol Musk is a heavily compromised liability, and his relationship with Russia leaves the West exposed to unprecedented blackmail and espionage risks. Errol Musk has returned to Russia to praise the regime and enjoy his life on the Kremlin's terms. Given his dark history of abuse and scandals, Russian handlers have likely collected an arsenal of kompromat on him. The FSB does not hand out luxury treatment to foreign elites for free, since they expect a return on their investment, and Errol’s value lies entirely on who his son is (no matter if they are close or not). This arrangement poses a direct threat to Western security. Elon Musk is a vital contractor for the US military, holding immense power over critical capabilities. He is also a volatile figure who frequently acts on impulse and exhibits highly questionable ideological stances. If Moscow decides to tighten the screws on Elon by exploiting his father, no one knows what will happen, making this entire situation deeply troubling. The US should never have put itself in this situation

Everyone knows about flock cameras, but they're not the only company scanning license plates. At least 7 other companies are scanning your plates every day. Genetec is #2. Motorola is #3. It’s not one company. It’s an ecosystem. The surveillance cartel is more than one brand.
