Congrats to Cincy for landing their, checks notes, 6 points per game golden goose I find it hilarious that they have constantly said they don’t want USU players because they’re too big time as a bottom Big 12 team. But they are all giddy about guys from Akron, GMU, and Towson.

I’m BACK BABY!!!! I couldn’t wait any longer for my original account. It’s sad because that account has been open since 2008 and has tons of followers. The excitement that is happening around lobo athletics is on another level. I couldn’t miss out on all this.

Wisconsin Mr. Basketball Zavier Zens will announce his decision Thursday evening he tells me. Zens visited Utah St., Wisconsin and Illinois this past week after decommitting from Northern Iowa. 6'7 SF led his team to a 3rd straight state title and 28-0 mark averaging 23.6 PPG.

@BradenTClark @Pshark14 We received almost 0 help from admin on that trip. It was 100% grassroots student led. We were all buying the tickets on our own accounts and distributing to all students ourselves. The coaching staff donated about a grand and that was about it.

It’s not only a betrayal, it’s malpractice.
Every school has money. Only one has the HURD. That is and has always been Utah State’s competitive advantage, and the administration should be fighting to protect it and invest in it, not dismantling it.

The HURD has been a constant, maybe the only constant, throughout that administrative instability (which was accompanied by several coaching changes) and for decades and decades prior. To immediately turn around and repay the HURD by doing this is a betrayal.

It’s unclear if the school originally approached donors or if the idea came from donors, but I’d assume the former. I’m also not entirely sure if donors acted independently or as a type of coalition.
Sources also say, as is widely reported by now, that HURD input was minimal.

According to sources close to the situation, pressure to add premium seating, and (nonbinding) commitments to buy tickets, did not primarily come from high-profile boosters (at least one of whom opposed the idea and plans to refuse the offering) but from more mid-level donors.
