This weekend, we witnessed swastikas, the confederate flag & other symbols of hate in our nation’s capital. We condemn these actions & remain strong in our resolve to oppose all forms of hate, promote human rights & create environments that are safe, equitable and inclusive.

You know how many kids and staff books killed at my high school? Zero. You know how many kids and staff a former student killed with an AR-15? 17 Guess which one the Florida legislature is working on banning.

This weekend, we have witnessed symbols of hate across Canada. We cannot be silent about it. These events remind us of the importance of educating about human rights and equity in our schools.

It needs to be said: As this week comes to an end, 🙏 thank you 🙏 thank you 🙏 thank you 🙏 to all education workers. Whether online or in-school (yes there are many workers in our schools right now) I know this has been a difficult & stressful time. You are valued. #onted
