Ambassador Tom Barrack @USAMBTurkiye expressed his condolences to Prime Minister Barzani over the martyrdom of six Peshmerga fighters killed when Iranian ballistic missiles struck their base in Erbil.

سوپاسی بەڕێز باڵیۆز تۆم بەڕاکم کرد کە سەرەخۆشیی خۆیانی پێگەیاندین بۆ شەهیدبوونی شەش پێشمەرگەی قارەمان و هاوخەمیی لەگەڵماندا. هاوبەشیی حکومەتی هەرێمی کوردستان و ئەمەریکا لەم کاتە هەستیارەدا بەرز دەنرخێنین و چاومان لە بەردەوامیدانە بە گفتوگۆکانمان.

I had a good call with @USAMBTurkiye Tom Barrack and thanked him for his thoughtful call and condolences. Our people stand united in mourning the martyred Peshmerga. We value the KRG–U.S. partnership at this critical moment and look forward to continuing our dialogue.

بە داخێکی زۆرەوە گوێبیستی شەهیدبوون ٦ پێشمەرگە و برینداربوونی ژمارەیەکی زۆریان بووم لەمیانەی هێرشەکەی شەوی رابردوودا. سەرەخۆشی خۆم ئاراستەی خانەوادە و خزم و کەسانی قوربانییەکان و بەرپرسان و گەلی هەرێمی کوردستان دەکەم.

We are saddened by the loss of life among members of the KRG Peshmerga Forces this morning. We extend our condolences to the families of the victims, the KRG, and the people of Iraq.

ندين ونستنكر الهجوم العدواني الغادر والخائن الذي استهدف مقرات البيشمركة، والذي أسفر عن استشهاد ستة من أبطال البيشمركة وإصابة 30 آخرين بجروح. أتقدم بخالص التعازي وصادق المواساة لعوائل الشهداء الأبرار، مبتهلاً إلى المولى القدير أن يَمُنَّ بالشفاء العاجل على المصابين. سنتخذ كافة الإجراءات لمواجهة هذا التمادي العدواني الذي يُشن على إقليم كوردستان، كما نُطالب الحكومة الاتحادية والمجتمع الدولي بالاضطلاع بمسؤولياتهما، ووضع حدٍّ لهذه الهجمات الغاشمة التي تستهدف إقليم كوردستان. @masrourbarzani

رسالة من الرئيس بارزاني بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ندين بأشد العبارات الهجوم الذي نُفِّذ فجر اليوم بصواريخ إيرانية على مواقع قوات بيشمركة كوردستان، وأسفر للأسف الشديد عن استشهاد كوكبةً من البيشمركة الأبطال وإصابة عدد آخر بجروح. وإذ أتقدم بأحرّ التعازي والمواساة إلى عوائل شهداء هذا الاعتداء غير المشروع، وأشاطِرهم أحزانهم، أتمنى الشفاء العاجل للجرحى. إن هذا الهجوم يعدُّ عملاً عدائياً ولا يمكن تبريره بأي شكل من الأشكال. وهذه ليست المرة الأولى التي تُنفَّذ فيها مثل هذه الاعتداءات المتكررة ضد إقليم كوردستان دون مراعاة مبادئ حسن الجوار والقانون الدولي. ويأتي ذلك في حين لم يكن إقليم كوردستان أبداً جزءاً من الحرب التي تشهدها المنطقة، ولم يشكِّل في أي وقت تهديداً على دول الجوار. وتبقى البيشمركة هي أعز وأغلى ثروة وطنية يملكها شعبنا ويفتخر بها. مسعود بارزاني 24 آذار 2026 @masoud_barzani @KDPinfo

Message from President Barzani In the name of God, the Most Gracious the Most Merciful, I strongly condemn the attack carried out at dawn today, in which Iranian missiles struck the headquarters of the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces. With deep sorrow, I note that as a result of this attack a number of heroic Peshmerga were martyred and others were wounded. I extend my condolences and sympathy to the families of the martyrs of this unjust attack and share in their grief, and I wish the wounded a swift recovery. This hostile attack is unjustifiable and cannot be accepted under any pretext. This is yet another instance of such attacks being carried out against the Kurdistan Region, in open violation of the principles of good‑neighbourly relations and international law. This comes at a time when the Kurdistan Region has not been a party to the ongoing war in the region and has never posed any threat to its neighbours.
