People are confusing who Guv can invite to stake claim first with who will be sworn in. Precedent is the pre poll alliance or party with majority gets invited. Or single largest party with support of others Or a post poll alliance which can show the numbers. But swearing-in happens once majority signatures are given. Like I said before, only exception to this is Karnataka 2018. Another question is: what is the hurry for swearing in tomorrow itself? Why not take another day or two to get the majority numbers and then take oath? Just because TVK is keen for tmrw doesn't mean Guv has to rush it.

Foolish arguments. ‘Majority seat gaining party’ is irrelevant. He is asking as there’s no other party that is in the horizon to join TVK. If part of ADMK breaks and joins, it needs to be 2/3rd. Which is difficult. If they do cross-vote, the Govt will fall in Court of Law.

Vijay openly declared, the only thing he has said most emphatically, that his biggest opponent is BJP ideology… Even now, he and Cong has jointly declared that they want all secular (pseudo) forces to come together and keep BJP away in govt formation… Given the above, TN BJP must start opposing TVK/Congress (admk - most likely will join/support) govt from Day 1. I know in assembly, DMK will act as the opposition but in people’s perception, BJP should be the main opposition, ideologically as well as politically! And hence, BJP must put up a candidate in Trichy (east) for the re-poll and fight tooth & nail. @annamalai_k @NitinNabin @AmitShah @narendramodi

Tying up with Congress won’t take TVK anywhere. The Left parties are not going to join the alliance. VCK may consider it, but will ultimately decide to stay away. IUML has already refused. The Communists will stick with the DMK. PMK may not want to be seen alongside the Congress party. AIADMK is not going to bail out TVK unless asked. Only one man can save the day. Flush out the secular rhetoric. Make one call to Amit Shah. Ask for a governance-based understanding like the one enjoyed by Naveen Patnaik. The NDA can make things happen for Vijay. Five years of rule, guaranteed. Instead, if you listen to Rahul G, you could end up friendless.
