The portal and the coaching carousel in college sports is wild. But something very poetic about Kiffin and Mulkey being at LSU at the same time.

Being a sports fan means celebrating the wins, lamenting the losses, and enduring the tough seasons. Grateful for teams and players and coaches chasing their dreams and inviting me to cheer them on.

The pursuit of closure too often seeks to compartmentalize and move on without actually doing the healthy processing of what you have experienced; making meaning of what you have encountered.

Camp season is special. It is also exhausting. And on my way home tonight a worship song came on the radio that wrecked me. I wept. Worn out and uncertain about so many things, yet also so grateful to abide in Him.

The fullness of the season has been pretty all-consuming. So today, a cup of coffee and folding laundry feel like sacred moments. Grateful for some reflection time.

What we say and how we say it matters. Feeling like I am working extra hard to make sure that my words are sweet, edifying and invitational. It means typing a text takes time sometimes. And that’s ok. It means not reacting hastily when in convos. And that’s ok.

My bedtime reminder is more of a taunt in this season.
