Karmelo Anthony has been transferred out of the Collin County Jail and sent to a TDCJ diagnostic prison. Here is a statement from the Collin County Sheriff's Office Mr. Anthony was transferred from the Collin County Detention Facility to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice today. The transfer began early this morning and was completed early this afternoon. The transfer was expedited and completed in coordination with TDCJ. Due to operational and security considerations, we are unable to provide additional details regarding the transfer process. During his time at the Collin County Detention Facility, Mr. Anthony was not housed in the general inmate population. The Collin County Sheriff's Office does not discuss inmate classification decisions, monitoring protocols, or specific security measures, as releasing that information could compromise the safety and security of inmates, staff, and facility operations.
