New 📝 alert! In a field experiment with 1000+ psych PhD students, we find that students use more racial modifiers when communicating about Black samples vs. White samples. But we also find that policies regulating sample reporting can reduce this bias. tinyurl.com/2s49tdb8

So, even as people generally endorse norms around how to respond "appropriately" to discrimination disclosures (don't deny!), seeing one person deny racism can negatively shift our own attitudes and behaviors toward discrimination experiences and their targets.
