Rob I’d advise against going regardless, unless you’re privy to assurances and protections I’m unaware of. The UK is well on its way to becoming a bona fide Marxist regime. Having said that, somehow Mr. Cleese has avoided some of that, I don’t know how. I am canceling my plans to visit the United Kingdom. The despicable treatment of their own citizens in favor of invaders by their Government is truly disgusting.

We were going to London in August but now have changed our plans and going elsewhere. So happy we went years ago while our daughter studied abroad there and we loved it. We felt safe with her there esp walking around at night all the time and never an issue. It has changed dramatically, intentionally and not for the better. SAD…

You really think the world's biggest economy is going to be left behind? I strongly doubt that. Categorically stating that "the US is no longer a reliable trading partner" is ridiculous. Antagonizing the US, as Canada is doing, will do nothing to get us a trade deal. How on Earth would it? We keep this line of thinking, it will be us who will be left behind.

Remind me what happened when Europe finally agreed, kicking and screaming, to send ships to help secure the vital passage through which much of its oil passes. Trying to remember. OK, Britain needed to borrow ships from France and Germany. Nobody really went anywhere. That whole thing kinda fizzled. The ice maker on the one operative British frigate went on the fritz. Something like that. Then Russia sailed warships and a couple of tankers through the English Channel, just for shits and giggles.
