@Bosniac0 Also at times you just gotta throw the youngster in the fire, we did it with many in our squad so I don’t see why that wouldn’t be the option w him. Obviously if Katic is ready, then he’s starting but I think Celik is a clear second option, especially if he keeps playing…

You can be a talent and not ready. Muharemović wasn’t ready two years ago either.
I don’t rule out that Čelik could play, but he’s a question mark in many areas.

@Trobie13 It’s more that Lens have to than want to. He’s their only CB left. I’ve watched two matches, and it’s clear he’s not at the required level yet BUT it was better than expected for a start. Next year he’ll probably be loaned out.

It’s still too early for pessimism, and I think many of us are already satisfied with just qualifying.
But it is worrying that both Katić and Barišić might miss the World Cup, and then you have Čelik (who should be called up) who clearly isn’t ready yet.

@Bosniac0 Yes but Tarik was playing for Juve B tho at the time, this is League 1 and they’re 2nd. Whether he’s there cuz he’s ”the only option” or if he was truly ”bad” or ”not ready”, then they would throw in one of the French youngsters instead which they most def have in their academy…

@Bosniac0 Tahirovic was a great talent aswell, things just went wrong n he’s been on a downward spiral since then…
We’ve had Barisic, Radeljic, Hadzikadunic n etc, Celik is clearly way more talanted than them all lol. If Katic doesn’t make it, I’m 100% sure that Celik is more than ready.

@keepitcertii It has nothing to do with age, club or quality. Tahirović also started 7 matches for Roma, that doesn’t say everything.
We’re talking about a CB, not a winger, so there are other things more important than just quality.
I would definitely call him up though.
